WOW. It’s safe to say we had a sensational time at LAMMA for the second year running, with over 900 exhibitors and roughly 40,000 visitors.
“The most successful LAMMA ever is how organisers are describing the mammoth machinery event that took place at the East of England showground in Peterborough on 18 and 19 January.” – LAMMA
We spoke to so many different types of businesses, ranging from farmers who are arable, pastoral dealing with dairy and poultry to machinery suppliers, packaging firms, manufacturing companies and many more. They’re all looking at finding the best way to receive reductions on their energy consumption and to lower their carbon footprints; thus futureproofing their business/premises. Despite the reductions in the Solar PV feed in tariff, we found that energy reduction is still a big economic driver for businesses, although it represents a slightly longer return on the investment (ROI).
Modern farming methods really do need to consider installing renewables such as a solar PV system, alongside/or an Air Source Heat Pump as part of the Farm’s future proofing strategy. Installing an Air Source Heat Pump can reduce your bills significantly, all whilst claiming the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).
Other schemes that we discussed with possible clients at LAMMA were LED lighting projects, where faster returns can be established. Engaging with such a diverse client base is always very interesting. We love explaining about how we can help with full turnkey solutions on projects that can provide stretched budgets with alternative funding routes on their diversification pathway.
Your premises may also be eligible for Carbon Trust funding, now that we’re fully Carbon Trust Accredited Suppliers. Please contact our team through the website at www.flixboroughecotechnologies.co.uk/contact/ to find out more!
